My currently-reading list
I've been trying to get through Huck Finn since the summer. It's killing me and I don't know why! I am enjoying it but I can't seem to get absorbed in it. I'm about halfway through The Book Thief and it is an absolutely wonderful tale following a young girl displaced by goings on of Word War Two who goes to live with a German family hiding a Jewish man. I just started The Book of Lost Things this morning for a book club I'm involved in in my dorm, and I'm only four chapters in but I can already tell it's going to be great. This passage is from page 2:
"He always touched the faucets in the bathroom and the handles of the doors a certain number of times: odd numbers were bad, but even numbers were fine, with two, four, and eight being particularly favorable, although he didn't care for six because six was three twice and three was the second part of thirteen, and thirteen was very bad indeed."

That sounds like me and Anna. Karenina, that is.
